Binning
High performance white LEDs are subject to tiny parameter fluctuations are a result of production tolerances. To ensure uniformity, LEDs are classified according to their color and level of efficiency – they are effectively arranged or ‘binned’ together according to their shared values. So, the smaller the tolerances, the higher the quality of the ‘binned’ LED systems. Everbrite uses pre-selected LEDs to ensure uniform color temperature.

Color rendering
Color rendering is an important quality feature of light. Depending on use, artificial light should show objects in as natural as light as possible. A light source that contains the full spectrum of colors (Ra=100) makes the colors of illuminated items appear natural. A light source with Ra=100 reproduces all colors perfectly. The lower the Ra value, the less natural the colors are reproduced. Halogen lamps are recommended for use in areas that require high levels of color rendering, but their lifespan of 2,000-4,000 hours is very low compared to an LED’s 50,000 hours.

Thermal management
Thermal analysis is carried out using state of the art CAD systems to predict and accurate thermal management systems for the optimization of products. All products are subjected to long term reliability testing and results are ratified by reputable LED suppliers. This is done in conjunction with complex algorithms to determine the expected lifetime of the LED products. Thus projections can be made that the products will have >70% of the initial lumens after a period of 50,000 hours operation. LEDs are very susceptible to changes in temperature a d operate more efficiently at lower ambient temperatures, therefore it is critical that products are designed to allow the optimum ventilation and thermal dissipation thus ensuring the longevity, lumen output and efficacy of the used LEDs.

Color temperature
Color temperature is measured in degrees Kelvin (K), and refers to the level of heat necessary to make a theoretical “black body” appear in the same color. When we say a lamp has a color temperature of 3000K, it means that a piece of metal (or “black body”) would need to be heated to 3000K to produce the same color as the lamp. But if this piece of metal is heated to 4100K, it would then produce a whiter light. For comparison, direct sunlight has a value of 5300K while daylight, which has blue from the sky mixed in, is typically 6000K or more.
White LED light is generally made from a blue LED matched with a yellow phosphor. Adding more red phosphor pushes the color temperature closer to the ‘warm’ white CCT points. Less red phosphor pushes the color more to blue (‘cool’ white). The human eye is extraordinarily sensitive, so small process variations in chip wavelength, phosphor thickness, concentration, composition and/or deposition conditions make a big difference.

Before producting lamps, our Quality control department will check all the components to ensure they are good quality, not any defective ones, including the heatsink, leds, and power supply, After assembly,we will check out the products like the following items:
Since the vf of each LEDs are different, and there is a certain tolerence of driver's output currency, in that case,all the lamps had to be checked about the power consumption for full range, to ensure the power consistance. we will pick out the wide gap lamps.
All the products have to be pass the high voltage test to ensure it is safty enough when touch the lamp, and ensure the lamp will not be shocked easily.
Before shipment, we have to do a reliable aging test for about 24hours, during these period, we will pick out the defective products to reduce the quality problem.

CRI
The color rendering index (CRI) (sometimes called color rendition index), is a quantitative measure of the ability of a light source to reproduce the colors of various objects faithfully in comparison with an ideal or natural light source. Light sources with a high CRI are desirable in color-critical applications such as photography and cinematography.[1]It is defined by the International Commission on Illumination as follows:
Color rendering: Effect of an illuminant on the color appearance of objects by conscious or subconscious comparison with their color appearance under a reference illuminant [2]
Note that the CRI by itself does not indicate what the color temperature of the reference light source is; therefore, it is customary to also cite the correlated color temperature (CCT).
According to (Schanda & Sándor 2005), CRI is being deprecated in favor of measures based on color appearance models, such as CIECAM02 and, for daylight simulators, the CIE Metamerism Index. (Guo & Houser 2004) and (CIE 1995) note that CRI is not a good indicator for use in visual assessment, especially for sources below 5000 K.
A newer version of the CRI has been developed (R96a), but it has not replaced the better-known Ra (general color rendering index).
